Seeing that the situation is particularly acute in our country and that women and children suffer extraordinarily high infection rates
Understanding that the most effective way to combat HIV/AIDS in our country is to partner with other like-minded Institutions and Agencies working directly or indirectly for the cause
Acknowledging that our strengths lie in our diversity, and in our desire to work for the afflicted
Finding our inspiration in the mission of our founder the late Padmabhushan Shri Karamshi Jethabhai Somaiya, “what you receive from society give back multifold"
We pledge, as members of the K. J. Somaiya Group of Institutions to reach out to those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and to work to halt the spread of the virus with responsibility, integrity and decency
We Affirm that all the staff members and students will contribute in whichever way possible to help the HIV infected and affected persons, to soothe their sufferings, irrespective of caste and creed
We Further Pledge that we will act together to build awareness and to spread the message of prevention of the disease within the larger community and among the people staying around the institutions in particular
We Especially Pledge to offer hope and promise to women and children in need
Above All We Pledge to secure the future, of our fellow brother and sisters, by working with individuals, institutions and the government in our country and elsewhere to find practical approaches to address HIV/AIDS |
