K.J. Somaiya Comprehensive College of Education, Training and Research Ever since the Somaiya Vidhyavihar established a Junior College of Education - 'Adhyapan Mandir'- in 1962, it has been the effort of the Managing Council to have a Senior College of Education, a B.Ed. College - 'Adhyapak Mahavidyalaya'. Accordingly, K.J. Somaiya Comprehensive College of Education, Training and Research was started on 29th August, 1990. The College is affiliated to the University of Bombay and its imparts instructions leading to the B.Ed. degree of University of Bombay. The University has recognised the College as a Minority Institution. The College is geared specially to provide high quality education in the latest techniques and methodology for curriculum transaction and is poised to develop in to an Institute of Higher Learning and Inter-Disciplinary Research, conducting programmes cutting across various disciplines including Arts, Commerce, Science, Technical Education, Medical Education, Management etc. Courses & Activities at K.J.
