Library Mission

        To enhance knowledge and instill a thirst for reading which will enable the readers to develop an integrated personality and motivate them to make a valuable contribution to the society in future.

        To promote scientific and technological research and also to disseminate information at a faster pace to the targets of their utilization.

Library has been providing Book Bank facility since 1993. Students from all the branches from F.E. to B.E. can avail of this facility. This facility is given to lower income group at a minimum reading fees about 15% of the actual cost of the books, and the SC / ST students are not charged any reading fees.

With the ever increasing collection of books and journals, a natural step forward was to enhance the ease of access to library resources by providing online catalogue. The usage of electronic databases has considerably simplified the search for the status of books available with the library for the patrons as well as made the housekeeping work for the library office bearers easier. Smartcards with optical readers is also a movement in the same direction. Accessing CDs was never so simple as with OPAC (Online Public Access Center), that too, from anywhere in the campus.

Smt. Vyas has been working as a librarian since 1973. She has been with us since 1987. Over the years she has contributed to the development of the library facilities in the form of book bank, automation in the functioning of the library Circulation and Catalogue departments. She has also attended various seminars and workshops to help improve the quality of library facilities. She is also the Secretary of Bombay Science Librarians Association and an executive member of Bombay University College Librarians Association.
