| K.J. Somaiya Institute
of Management Studies and Research Set up in 1981, the K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research Studies (SIMSR) started with the two year Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) course of the University of Bombay. It was inaugurated by the then Governor of the Reserve Bank of India, and former Union Finance Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh. SIMSR has subsequently produced over six hundred managers occupying responsible positions in the corporate world.
SIMSR lies nestled in a vast 60 acre campus providing the right setting for imparting education. The campus is located in the north-east suburb of Bombay and is well connected by road and rail. The institutions housed in the campus support a student population of over 17,000.
The Institute offers the following two years full time courses: Masters in Management studies (M.M.S) - affiliated to the University of Bombay Post Graduate Programme in Management Studies (PGPMS) - Autonomous Masters in Computer Software Applications (M.C.S.A.) - Autonomous
The Institute also offers the following part time courses for the working executives. Classes for these courses are held in the evenings.
