Post Graduate Diploma in
Management Studies
D.M.S. (Part-Time)
The Program is designed to enable
young and promising executives and supervisors to acquire the
developing, operationally meaningful concepts and techniques of
Management so that they can improve upon the current practices .
The course covers general management program of all the
functional areas of management with a proper blending of
conceptual an dquantitative inputs. The course is intended to
develop an integrated perspective of the total managerial
function and give the executive participants a solid foundation
necessary for assuming higher managerial responsibilities.

Duration of the Program and
Admission Requirements
The course is of two years
duration and is open to graduates of Bombay University or of any
other recognised University and the candidates should have a
minimum of two years' paid work experience of an executive /
supervisory nature. No sponsorship is required from their
employers.
Registration and Eligibility
Every candidate admitted to the
D.M.S. Course will be required to register as a post-graduate
student of the University of Bombay by paying the free prescribed
University. No student will be allowed to pursue and other course
simultaneously with D.M.S. Course.
Selected candidates, who are
graduates of the University of Bombay, will be required to
produce a Transference Certificate from the constituent college
of this University last attended by them.
Selected Candidates, who are
graduates of other Universities, will be required to produce the
Provisional Eligibility certificate issued by the Registrar,
University of Bombay, declaring them eligible for admission to
the course.
Presently the fee for Eligibility
Certificate is Rs 40/- for students of Universities in
Maharashtra and Rs 100/- for others.
Tuition fee will be accepted only
after a provisional eligibility certificate is produced by the
candidates from Universities other than Bombay.
Final Eligibility Certificate
should be submitted by those admitted latest by the end of the
first semester.
Students are required to take
their degree at a convocation before they are admitted to the
final examination of the post graduate course. An attested copy
of the degree certificate is required to be submitted to the
office.
Transfers
Candidates shall be permitted to
transfer from one institute to the only after a semester provided
that such transfers are within the limits of permitted strength
of each centre.
