At SIMSR, MCSA is more than just an academic programme. It is a strategic armour to face the corporate jungle. In addition to the purely academic inputs, students are given ample opportunity to put into practice what they have learnt in theory.

Personality Development

A professional is known not only by the skills and proficiencies he possesses, but also by emotional and behavioural attributes that he/she exhibits. This firm belief lies at the core of the ''SIMSR Personality Development Programme''. It consists of a series of workshops. The main focus of this programme dwells on transactional analysis, interviewing, public speaking, and sensitivity training.

Research Cell & Publications

Students are constantly involved in research activities. Research papers on Information Technology and related disciplines are maintained and preserved. Various other activities like presentations, group discussions, brainstorming sessions, and report writing are organised frequently.

Communication Skills

SIMSR firmly believes that the efficiency with which a student communicates and expresses his ideas plays an important role in the modern corporate sector. Extensive training in good communication and public speaking is imparted to students through this course.

Students Library

The students of the MCSA maintain their own departmental library, which is updated with latest computer magazines, journals, books and manuals to keep in pace with the latest in the software industry.

Placement & Events

Placement

Under the guidance and with the assistance of the institute's placement cell, the student's group take active interest in placing students for summer training, summer project as well as final placement in various computer firms and industries.

Events

The computer industry is one of the few industries with high obsolescene rate. In such a situation it is necessary for any torch bearers of the industry to be acquainted with the emerging technologies. Bombay hosts a significant number of events (seminars, exhibitions) featuring I.T. and related technologies. The Institute encourages the student participation in these events which broadens their outlook.
