Recent achievements of Civil Engineering Department.
I) FIRST PRIZE TO “SKY CITY MODEL”
Final
year students of Civil Engineering participated in Project Model exhibition at
Sau.Venutai Chavan Polytechnic, Pune. They received first prize for the model
and also a cash prize of Rs. 3000/- students participated.

II)FIRST PRIZE in state level Technical Quiz Competition.
Final year students Bro. Abhijit Bendre & Ninad Amase participated MSBTE’S
state level “Technical Quiz” competition organized by Govt. Poly. Nagpur. They
won the First prize in C. E. group and also a cash prize of Rs. 7500/-.
III)Highlights of the Department:
1.The department has conducted Vacational Training Program (May 2007) on
“Concrete Mix Design” (for 3 days) in collaboration with GACL for CE students.
This program was over and above the curriculum. The certificates were awarded to
the trainees.
2.The department has organized a One Day Seminar on “Polymer Modified Dry Mix
Mortar” under IIP Cell of the Institute. The program was jointly organized by K.
J. Somaiya Polytechnic and M/s. Wacker Chemicals Pte Ltd., Germany. The program
was organized on 14th June 2007.
3.Final Year students underwent Inplant Trainees at Sheth Developers and at
nareshwadi.
4. The department has conducted two Batches of Training programs for final year
Civil Engineering students on Civil Engg. Application software’s i.e. “STRUDS &
QE-PRO”. (Duration Feb. 2007 to March 2007).
5. The department has conducted C.E.P. on Autocad for C.E. students (Duration
Feb. 2007 to March 2007.)
