The UGC, under its Quality Mandate SATAT (Framework for Eco-friendly and Sustainable Campus Development in Higher Educational Institutions) has endeavoured to integrate sustainability principles into campus operations, development, and curricula. One of the objectives of this mandate is to create awareness and promote sustainability through co-curricular and extracurricular activities.
The eco-taskforce of SATAT, K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering has organized a workshop on World Environment Day as its pioneering activity in its mission to achieve campus sustainability.
