At Somaiya Sports Academy, students go beyond theoretical learning to gain practical expertise in cutting-edge sports science technologies.
Our BSc and MSc Sports and Exercise Science students recently participated in a hands-on Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation (TENS) Unit and Posture Assessment session, bridging the gap between theory and real-world application.
The TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation) Unit is a key tool in pain management, neuromuscular function, and athlete rehabilitation, helping students understand its role in injury prevention and recovery strategies. Additionally, the session introduced posture assessment technologies, enabling students to analyze biomechanics, identify imbalances, and optimize movement patterns for enhanced athletic performance.
By integrating technology-driven learning, we empower our students with future-ready skills that will be invaluable in careers related to sports rehabilitation, physiotherapy, and athletic performance coaching.
