K J Somaiya Industrial Training Institute ranked amongst the top 3 in as per grading of ITI institutes conducted by CRISIL for NCVT (National Council for Vocational Training). The grading was based on norms set by the Directorate General of Training, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MoSDE), New Delhi.

K J Somaiya Industrial Training Institute is an initiative of Somaiya Vidyavihar to enable skill development and entrepreneurship amongst the economically challenged. The students besides learning through experiential learning are also encouraged to experiment and be innovative. From developing solar lights for their college building to cycles that work as treadmills, the students of K J Somaiya ITI, benefit from the ethos of holistic development of Somaiya Vidyavihar.

Says Shaji Mathew, Principal “ The purpose of our education at our college is to give an opportunity for the students who come here to develop skills for earning a living, as well as get the confidence to aim higher through using their skills for innovative ideas.  We are pleased that our work towards the same is getting results”.
