Welcome to Student Welfare Department at Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai.

At Somaiya Vidyavihar University every student is unique and we ensure that each and every student on our campus gives the best not only to make their future bright but also to be the good citizen of our country and give the best to the society.

The university is known for its excellent infrastructure for teaching, learning, research and eco-friendly lush green campus. Also we have Sports academy with multiple facilities on campus.

We have passion of creating Education for all the students in a way it's freedom for our country. Our main aim is to give good quality modern education including a strong component of culture, inculcation of values, awareness of the environment, physical activities and physical education. We want our students to get good Quality Education and give flexibility in curriculum to choose things based on their interests.

Our students on campus have reached heights along with Education in different areas of Sports till International level, launching ISRO Satellite and various start ups reaching multinational companies.

The office of Dean Students’ Welfare works for the holistic and comprehensive development of our students. Here, all the activities are undertaken as a measure to promote ample opportunities to the youth to enhance their skills and talents and give them opportunities at national and international level too. Our aim is that every student has core values of integrity, compassion and respect for others. To unleash the talent of our students, we meticulously plan and promote physical as well as cultural activities round the year which include indoor/ outdoor sports events, youth festivals, clubs, and subject related societies. Besides this, my office also ensures to maintain discipline among our students keeping in view their well-being.

At this juncture, I must thank to our visionary Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Prof V N Rajsekaran Pillai , who is always keen and determined to help the students in the best possible way.
