Here is our weekly update on the talks from TEDxSomaiyaVidyavihar 2018. Moving on from Mehak Mirza Prabhu, a riveting and free-spirited storyteller, this week we share the story of an extraordinary army officer who became an ultra-marathon runner, Lt. Col. Sundaresan Renganathan.

While most of us balk at the thought of running a grocery errand, here’s a man who has achieved the incredible feat of running 50 full marathons in 50 consecutive weeks, over 50 routes. Why, you ask? After serving in the army for 23 years, Lt. Col. Sundaresan Renganathan (Retd.) decided to do something for those who’ve lost their lives in the line of duty and aligned his passion for running with this line of thought, by formulating the “Run with a soldier, Run for a soldier” mission.
