Hazel Raikundalia Completes Two 22 km Open-Sea Ultra-Endurance Swims

Hazel Raikundalia from K. J. Somaiya Medical College & Research Centre achieved an exceptional milestone by completing two back-to-back 22 km open-sea ultra-endurance swims in Goa.

On 15th November 2025, she became the first swimmer ever to complete the Cortalim Jetty to Miramar Beach route, finishing the 22 km swim in 4:26:16. The very next day, 16th November 2025, she conquered another 22 km route from Caranzalem Beach to Anjuna Beach in an impressive 3:59:13.

For these remarkable achievements, Hazel was felicitated by Dr. Ajay R. Gaude (DSYA Goa) and Prof. (Dr.) Pawan Gupta (NIWS Goa).

Her achievements inspire the Somaiya community and athletes across the country.
