Job Description
Qualification: Minimum HSC, Graduation, Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education or Sports Science (preferred).
Certification in Fitness Training from a recognized body (e.g., ACSM, ISSA, NSCA, K11, or equivalent).
Sports Achievement: Former professional, national, or state-level Player is highly preferred.
Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in gym instruction or personal training, preferably in an institutional or sports academy setting.
• Supervise gym users to ensure safety and proper use of fitness equipment.
• Guide users on correct exercise form, machine settings, and workout techniques.
• Address queries related to general fitness, weight training, and cardio routines.
• Conduct basic fitness assessments (body composition, BMI, endurance, flexibility).
• Provide workout recommendations tailored to age, fitness level, or sport-specific goals.
• Monitor adherence to individual routines and offer corrective suggestions.
• Ensure all gym equipment is functional, clean, and safely arranged.
• Report any damage or malfunction to maintenance staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the gym, including sanitization protocols.
• Assist in organizing fitness challenges, awareness drives, events or wellness days.
• Collaborate with sports and S&C coaches for athlete-specific gym sessions (strength, rehab, conditioning).
• Support physios, Sports Coaches or S&C coaches when needed during sessions.
• Maintain attendance and feedback records of regular gym users.
• Educate members about injury prevention, warm-up and cool-down routines.
• Encourage consistent participation and promote fitness as a lifestyle.
