The program was graced by Captain Unnikrishnan Nair (Retd.), a decorated army officer, and Prof. Dr. Satish Modh, Pro Vice-Chancellor, SVU, as the chief dignitaries. They were warmly welcomed by the event incharge, Assistant Professor Satish Bhor, at the entrance lobby.

The day began with a welcome address by Mr. Aakash Deb, student of S.K. Somaiya College, followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed guests along with Dr. Satish Modh.

The event moved forward with a historical talk by Captain Unnikrishnan Nair, who shared deep insights into the life, discipline, and dedication of the Indian Army. His speech emphasized the values of hard work, determination, and patriotism, inspiring the young audience.

Further enriching the session, Captain Swaminathan Iyer delivered a thought-provoking address, reminding everyone that each Indian citizen is a soldier in spirit. He explained how the values of a jawan—discipline, sacrifice, and service—can be practiced in everyday life, making every individual a true defender of the nation.

The audience was also shown a short documentary, presenting the journey of an Indian Army officer from his rigorous days of training at the National Defence Academy (NDA) to the honor of serving and defending the country. The documentary gave the students a vivid understanding of the challenges, courage, and pride involved in wearing the uniform.

To add a literary touch to the celebrations, Asst. Prof. Kshamta Lad recited a heartfelt poem that beautifully depicted the veer ras and heroic spirit of the Indian soldiers.

The event concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Mr. Aakash Deb (TYBFM Batch), who expressed gratitude to the guests, dignitaries, faculty members, and students for their active participation.
