Multilingual National Conference on “New Perspectives in Contemporary Literature”

K  J Somaiya School of Languages and Literature, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, cordially invites academicians, researchers, translators, writers, teachers, students, and independent scholars to participate in the Multilingual National Conference on “New Perspectives in Contemporary Literature,” to be held on 24–25 July 2026 at the Somaiya Vidyavihar University Campus, Vidyavihar (East), Mumbai.

The conference aims to provide a vibrant multilingual platform for scholarly dialogue on the evolving intersections of language, literature, translation, technology, artificial intelligence, globalization, and contemporary literary studies. It will also encourage critical engagement with tribal, folk, regional, and comparative literary traditions, highlighting emerging research trends and innovative perspectives in multilingual communication and literary scholarship.

The conference will feature the participation of several eminent writers, poets, translators, critics, publishers, and literary scholars, including Dr Suryabala, renowned writer and storyteller; Dr Kusumlata Singh, writer, translator, and critic from New Delhi; Shri Narendra Pundarik, eminent poet from Banda, Uttar Pradesh; Dr Gorakh Thorat, translator; Shri Arun Singh, journalist and writer from Uttar Pradesh; Dr Hemendra Chandaliya, eminent poet from Rajasthan; Prof Pratibha Saraf, poet and writer; y; Dr Balasaheb Labde, writer and translator; Shri Bharat Vede, translator; Shri Deva Zhijad, writer; and other distinguished literary personalities.

The conference will be inaugurated in the august presence of the Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Prof Ajay Kapoor, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, and will bring together distinguished academicians, eminent literary figures, translators, writers, and researchers from across the country for meaningful scholarly and creative dialogue.
