INTRODUCTION TO THE CONFERENCE

SIMSR International Finance Conference (SIFICO) has been organized by Centre of Excellence in Capital Markets of SIMSR along with Finance Department since last seven years.

The Conference is currently in its 8th edition titled ‘Future of Financial Markets and Economy under FINTECH’. It aims at bringing together academicians, doctoral students, industry practitioners and researchers from regulatory organizations to deliberate on theoretical work, empirical findings and policy implications related to the banking, financial services and insurance sectors.The Conference will provide the participants an excellent avenue to receive quality feedback on their research and an opportunity for networking.

The earlier seven conferences addressed various issues to financial sector. The forthcoming conference aims at focusing on the future of financial markets and economy under FINTECH. A new wave of technological innovations in financial sector popularly called FINTECH, is accelerating radical transformation in economy and financial sector landscape. The digital India has provided the desired impetus to FINTECH, propelling the beneficiaries to develop and share knowledge for better digital data management. It also helps to optimize the overall performance and contribution to various economic activities. Emerging landscape created by FINTECH in India, raise various issues and concerns that need insightful deliberations by the domain expert.
