Shivani Mahesh Deosthale - K J Somaiya School of Engineering

Shivani M Deosthale is working as an Assistant Professor since January 2023. She is currently associated with Computer Engineering Department. She has completed her graduation and post-graduation from Mumbai University.

B. E. in Electronics Engineering from Datta Meghe college of Engineering, University of Mumbai, in 1998.

M.E. in Electronics Engineering from FRCRCE, Bandra, University of Mumbai, in 2008.

She has worked in IIT Bombay as Research Assistant in Electrical Engineering Department.

She has 18 years of teaching experience. She has guided UG and PG students. She has published research papers in national and international journals and conferences. She has taught various subjects such as Digital and Data Communication, Wireless Communication, Information and network security, Microwave and Fiber Optic Communication, Discrete Mathematics, C and Python Programming, Web Programming, Computer Networks, etc. She has worked as translator for some of the NPTEL courses.

She has passion to mentor students and be in the education field. Her research areas include Data Science, Network Security, Machine Learning, etc.

Apart from technical interests, she has keen interest in spoken languages such as Sanskrit, Marathi literature and writing articles and poems to bring science and languages close.
