Introduction

Dr. Vandana Satam currently working as an Assistant professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering at K J Somaiya College of Engineering and Jt. Dean of Student Affairs of KJSCE. Dr. Vandana Jitendra Satam obtained her Bachelor’s degree (B.E.) in Electronics from Terna College of Engineering, the University of Mumbai in 2003. After B.E., she has worked as a marketing trainee in infinity solutions (July 2003 to September 2003). Then she has worked with Abhinav Technical Institute as a lecturer from October 2003 to April 2004. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering since 2004. She has completed her M.E. (Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering) from Vivekananda Institute of Technology, the University of Mumbai in 2010. During M.E., she has worked with SAMEER, IIT Bombay as a project student (2009-2010) in the ARSS division. During her M.E. project, she has developed a microstrip filter that could be used in Radio Acoustic Sounding System. She has received an institute-level grant from K. J. Somaiya College of Engineering for the completion project titled “Design and development of Microstrip Components”. In 2019 she has completed Ph.D. in Electronics and Communication Engineering from SNDT Women’s University, Mumbai. During her research work, she has designed MIMO antennas using different techniques like defected ground structure (DGS), Slots, Slits and Stubs which has applications in the area of wireless and satellite communications. She has published her work in reputed International Journals with good impact factor, International and National Conference Proceedings. She has guided many B. Tech. projects at KJSCE. She has also helped students from other institutes from the University of Mumbai for projects related to the field of the antenna. She has reviewed research papers for various journals and conferences. She has designed various laboratory experiments in the field of RF circuits. She is expertise in simulation Softwares like IE3D, CST microwave studio, MATLAB, SCILAB, LaTex etc. She has completed a minor research project titled “Design and development of passive antenna temperature sensor for IoT applications” sanctioned by the University of Mumbai for the year 2019-2020.
