Smita Ramesh Sankhe - K J Somaiya School of Engineering

Hello! I am Dr. Smita Ramesh Sankhe, proud to serve as an Assistant Professor in Computer Engineering Deparment  at K.J. Somaiya School of Engineering, a place where curiosity meets opportunity and innovation thrives. My journey began as a software engineer, but my love for learning and desire to share knowledge soon led me to the vibrant world of academia.

With more than 15 years of experience in  Academia , I’ve enjoyed exploring and teaching core areas like Programming, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Web Programming, and Data Science. Along the way, I’ve authored over 25 research publications, received two copyrights, and cherished every chance to make a difference in how we approach technology and knowledge.

What I value most is connecting with students, fellow educators, and industry professionals who share my excitement for computer science. I believe that true innovation comes from collaboration and open exchange of ideas, and I strive to create an environment where everyone feels inspired to contribute and grow.

Outside of work, you’ll often find me hiking with my family or experimenting with new technologies—these adventures keep me energized and in tune with the fast-changing world around us.
