JITENDRA KAREKAR IS AN ASSISTANT PROFESSOR OF MATHEMATICS, IN THE SCIENCE AND HUMANITIES DEPARTMENT, K. J. Somaiya School of Enginering, SOMAIYA VIDYAVIHAR UNIVERSITY  (SVU), MUMBAI, INDIA.
HE HAS COMPLETED HIS POST-GRADUATION FROM IIT, BOMBAY.  HE QUALIFIED STATE ELIGIBILITY TEST (SET) FOR STATE OF MAHARASHTRA.
HE IS TEACHING APPLIED MATHEMATICS FOR LAST 13 YEARS. HE IS THE FACULTY MEMBER OF EMFINITY (MATHEMATICS CLUB AT KJSCE). HE ALWAYS BELIEVES IN APPLICATION AND VISUALIZATION BASED TEACHING APPROACH RATHER THAN PURELY THEORETICAL ONE.
HIS RESEARCH INTERESTS ARE DATA SCIENCE, MACHINE LEARNING, CODING, ERROR-CORRECTING ALGORITHMS AND MATHEMATICS EDUCATION. HE HAS PUBLISHED 2 PAPERS IN INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF ENGINEERING EDUCATION. HE IS A LIFE MEMBER OF PROFESSIONAL BODIES LIKE MATHEMATICS TEACHERS ASSOCIATION, ISTE ETC.
