Prof. Ravindra Baliga is a Mechanical Engineer with post-graduate qualifications in Management from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai. He has worked in leading companies in Steel (Tata Steel), Pharma, FMCG (Godrej Sara Lee Limited, JL Morison), Bio-Medical and printing Industries (Repro India Ltd). His techno-commercial experience of over 23 years was both at a strategic and tactical level, the areas he has worked in were Shopfloor€ Management, Factory Management, Overseas projects (Sri Lanka, Dubai, and Africa), Logistics and Distribution, Purchase and Materials Management. Because of an interest in academics, he joined KJ Somaiya Institute of Management as a full-time faculty in Operations and SCM. He has successfully defended his thesis in the area of SCM during March 2020, leading to the award of the degree of Fellow of NITIE (equivalent to PhD).
