Dr. Manisha Ramesh Gawde is an Assistant Professor of K. J. Somaiya College of Education, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, Mumbai. She completed her post graduate degrees in Economics, Education from University of Mumbai. She completed her Ph.D. under the guidance of Dr.Hemlata Chari,Deputy Director (IDOL),University of Mumbai in 2015.She began her career from secondary school and went on to become faculty at teacher education colleges. Presently she is a Counsellor and Research Guide for M A (Education) at IGNOU study centre 1601.She presented papers at state and national level. She is associated as field coordinator at DLLE, Mumbai University. From last three years she is a member of Selection Committee to select Best Teacher of the year for Mayor Award. Her areas of scholarly interest include Educational Psychology ,Guidance & Counseling, School Counselling, Inclusive Education, Self Management and Life Skills,Learning and Teaching Pedagogy of School subject Economics and Commerce at the B Ed level. Before joining Somaiya’s in 2017, she worked for the B.Ed College as an Assistant Professor for nearly 11 years. In this institution, she teaches Learning and Teaching, Pedagogy of School Subject Economics, Education for All : Disability,Diversity & Inclusion to B.Ed and Educational Management, Psychology of Learning and Development,Guidance and Counselling to M.Ed.
