People say a good college experience must always be a well-rounded experience. And he has transformed this concept into a successful reality for his department. He has been a part of the KJSIEIT tradition since its inception. Mr. Uday Rote, the Dean  of Student Welfare, has been actively involved in the welfare of KJSIEIT’s every domain for more than a decade. As the head of a department, it’s been through immense hard work and dedication that he has managed to skillfully portray several roles.

KJSIEIT’s administration has seen active participation from Mr. Rote, on behalf of the Information Technology Department in many key decision making processes. Also, in order to bridge the gap between the college’s different departments, he encourages staff members to coordinate with their teaching/non-teaching counterparts. He has ensured that an important aspect of his job is to create a stimulating environment for the students and so he feels it is of the utmost importance to address any and every student’s grievances.

For the propagation of KJSIEIT’s Computer Department and to acquaint students with the latest trends in technology, he has initiated an open source laboratory in the campus and has helped in the organization of STTP open source seminars for students and staff. To lay emphasis on the ever-evolving nature of IT field.

On a personal front, his achievements speak for themselves. He comes from a versatile educational background, having studied in regional towns as well as urban cities, and it would be safe to say that he has enjoyed the best of both the worlds. He completed his primary schooling in Washim and attended high school in Dhulia. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer science & Engineering from Shegaon and a Master’s in Computer Engineering from Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune. He has presented 3 papers in national and international conferences.

A firm believer in over all personal and professional growth, he constantly motivates the CSI KJSIEIT Student Chapter to achieve great heights as their Branch Counselor. As a premier scientific student organization of our college, CSI has been actively involved in the organization of Renaissance (KJSIEIT’s Technical Festival) and also informative seminars and Interactive workshops to inculcate practical knowledge amongst students.

To promote the pursuit of higher education among students he is a Co-ordinator on behalf of Institute of Distance & Open Learning (IDOL) for the course of MCA of Mumbai University. He has also written a reference book for the subject of Operating Systems. He has delivered lectures on Advanced Computer Networks at Khurrana Sawant College of Engineering in Nanded University.

His humility and understanding have made a lasting impression on his peers and juniors for whom he strives to create an environment of encouragement and comfort. His involvement in the coordination of Jeevan Vidya and ISKCON programs reflect his faith and belief in seeking spiritual guidance.

He makes it a point to take time out from his busy schedule, to nurture his hobbies includes playing cricket and volleyball; and to go on adventurous treks.

An advocate of the concept, “Why should Common Sense be Uncommon?” he encourages his students to think outside the box and innovate through collective vision. He makes his students appreciate a solution, however small it may be. He wishes his students to diligently pursue their goals and achieve the highest form of success.
