Nasim Banu Anwar Ali Shah - K J Somaiya Institute of Technology

Ms Nasim Shah working as an Assistant Professor in the department of Information Technology, since May 2006. She has completed her Post Graduate (M.E.) in Computer Engineering from K.J. Somaiya College of Engineering. Her research includes Enhanced Technique for image compression in the field of Image Processing.

Her area of interests is Image processing, Machine Learning, Web Development, Data structure and algorithm, Database management system, Object Oriented Analysis and Design. She has 13 years of teaching experience in engineering.

She has attended two weeks established approved STTP on “Advanced Computing Techniques” at D.J.Sanghvi College of Engineering, Vile Parle, Mumbai. She has attended Seminar on “Computer Vision” and three days workshop on “Object-Oriented Analysis and Design using Borland ALM at Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Andheri.

She has also attented established approved one week STTP on “Neural Networks and Fuzzy System” at the same institute. She has attended ISTE approved one week STTP on “Networks and Internet Security” at the same institute. She has attended one day orientation program on Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence” and workshop on Web Technology and PHP at the same institute. She is handling various responsibilities in her academics like project guide, Departmental committee advisor, Class incharge, Course file coordinator, Alumni incharge. She has guided various BE project in different areas like Image Processing, Networking, Data mining etc. She strongly believes in dedication, communication, subject knowledge and patience in the teaching profession.
