A desire to extend my knowledge and an enthusiasm to contribute towards the esteemed field of education and this prestigious institution, which has been foundation for many great individuals and achievers, . I believe that my educational background has instilled in me the qualities required to meet the rigor of this demanding and societal contributing to this profession .. I bring along with me a strong grasp of fundamentals in learning, teaching, managing and adapting.My first biggest decision, which set the path for my career, was choosing teaching as a career option and life-defying path for me. Ever since I joined S.K. Somaiya College of arts, science and commerce in 2000, it has been a gradual process of learning, adapting and contributing to the institution that has contributed immensely for my personal and professional growth. I stand here today as the prime example of what role this institution plays in moulding our thoughts, idea and character.I am deeply inspired & motivated by the role education and mentor in the life of students and aspiring leaders, managers and entrepreneurs of the future. It played a vital role in thrive for learning and constantly challenging myself. Over the course of journey in order to be updated and in line with the changing scenario and demands of my current time I have credited for numerous research papers credited to my name .

I have also played a mentor for various students in my career span of over 20 years. This institution has been a mentor, guide and life defining support for me and I intend to do everything for the students in terms of guiding them with their academic, research and career. In this career span of 20 years I have encountered numerous challenges and have triumphed them because of the support and guidance that my co-workers, seniors and management has provided me. If I want to define my career with an object it would be a tree. My reason for relating my career as a tree is as follows

1. The institution has played the role of a root in terms of anchoring my career and defining my character and personality today

2. As the tree faces adversity of the nature and climate I too have faced those challenges and overcome because of the strong roots that this institution has been for me.

3. The fruits that I reap today in terms of my growth are the fruits that a tree reaps after years of hard work and dedication.

4. All the people that have been associated with me have played a vital role in turning this sapling into a tree.
