Research Accomplishments

Introduction

I am currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Life Science (Biotechnology) in S K Somaiya College, Somaiya Vidyavihar University.

Previously, I have worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biotechnology in KET’s V. G. Vaze College (Autonomous) for a period of 8 years. In addition to this, I was also associated with Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT) and G. N. Khalsa College (Autonomous), Mumbai as a Visiting faculty.

I obtained my Ph.D in Biotechnology from the prestigious Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT). My research areas of specialization include Nanotechnology, Phytochemistry, Human Genetics and Molecular Biology. Considering my expertise, I have been invited as a resource person for delivering talks on Nutrigenomics and Research Methodology.

I have also been appointed as a reviewer by international research journals- Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture (Springer), Clinical Biochemistry (Elsevier publishing Group), Annals of Human Biology (Taylor and Francis Group) and Molecular Biology Reports (SpringerNature).

Research and teaching are my passion. My scientific curiosity is the driving force that enables me to question and pursue research that I hope will benefit the society.

Awarded 1st prize for the Oral presentation of Research work titled ‘Fabrication of cauliflower waste-mediated silver nanoparticles: A Promising antimicrobial agent in cosmetics’ in the 'international Conference on Recent Advances in Science, Technology, Humanities and Management' held in KET’s V.
