Pallavi Yogesh Jambhale - Somaiya Education Faculty

Dr. Pallavi Nalawde-Jambhale specialises in Hinduism, Buddhism, Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology (AIHC), and Comparative Religion, with expertise in religious traditions, sacred architecture, epigraphy, and the cultural history of ancient India. She holds an M.A. and Ph.D. in Ancient Indian History, Culture and Archaeology from the University of Mumbai, with her doctoral research focusing on early Deccan religious practices.

Her research explores Hindu and Buddhist traditions, sacred spaces, rock-cut and monastic architecture, inscriptions, religious art, cultural interactions, and heritage. She has published in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to national and international research projects, including the Ministry of Education-supported Maritime History for Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) project and an ICHR project.

She has presented her research at national and international conferences in India and abroad. Her interdisciplinary scholarship contributes to the study and preservation of India’s religious, cultural heritage.
