Dr. Maushmi Kumar has total 18 years of experience with 15 years in academics and 3 years in the Bioprocess Industry. She is a Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and Life Sciences faculty and has taught several subjects at the UG, PG and Ph.D. programmes. She is an active Academician and a Researcher and has expertise in exploring natural and synthetic compounds and leads for pharmaceutical and biological application, Anticancer agents, Neuroprotection in AD progression. She is Fellow of Society for Applied Biotechnology and a life time member of Biotech Research Society of India. She has been awarded so far with extramural research grants from funding agencies including Department of Biotechnology, Science Engineering Research Board, SERB POWER grants from Govt. of India worth 10 million (100 lakhs). She has contributed more than 52 research publications to Scopus Indexed high impact factor International and National journals; 19 oral talks; and 22 book chapters. Her research includes bioactivity screening and compounds isolation from marine macro and microorganisms for inflammation and cancer. She is also Coordinator for the MSc Program in Chemical Biology and Drug Design at SK Somaiya College hosted by Somaiya Institute for Research and Consultancy, SVU.
