  • Abstract

Sikhism got evolved during the period of Bhakti movement. Avidhya (karma), Avagaman (transmigration), Bhakti (knowledge) and Moksha (liberation) are four Pillars in Sikhism. Law of causation depends upon Hukum. Hukum is farsi word which means divine grace. Just as fish is independent to swim in ocean similarly man is independent to do his action within the boundary of Hukum. Karma and Hukum seems to be contradict each other. Sikhism does not believe in hell and heaven. Mukti is the state of Egolessness and sumiran to remain in the memory of god Akal Purakh. Naam japa satnaam smaran (dedication) , kirat karni (stress on to lead a life of self sufficiency) and vand chakna (to donate for good cause).
