Introduction

Dr. R. R. Lekurwale, is working since January 2009. Presently he is Professor, Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Director-IQAC of Somaiya Vidyavihar University.

 He completed

1. Bachelor of Engineering in Production Engineering from SGGSCE&T Nanded in 1993.

2. M.Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IITB, Mumbai in 2001

3. Ph.D. in Production  Engineering from VJTI in 2015 (Mumbai University) Mumbai

He has one year industrial experience and three decades experience in teaching field. 

He has granted two patent and other two are in process of filing

He has published several papers in international / national journals and conferences with reputed publishers like Taylor and Francis, Springer, Sage and so on and also published two patents.

Two students completed his Ph.D three students are pursuing Ph.D under his guidance.

He has passion about education field and hence selected it as a career. He has sound technical background and has developed professional expertise in his chosen field.

His research interest is Additive Manufacturing, Medical Device Innovation, Engineering optimization, Industrial Engineering. He has rich experience of administration of academic and co-curricular activities in the institute.
