K J Somaiya Institute of Management hosted a notable event with the Book Launch for 'Decoding the Code – Law of Crimes Made Easy', authored by Dr Krishna Shetty, Associate Professor, Finance & Law.

The event was graced by Shri Niket Kaushik, IPS, Additional Director General of Police, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Mumbai as Chief Guest, and ADV PRIYANKA RANE-PATIL, Former CWC Bench of Magistrate, Mumbai as the Guest of Honour, they commended the book's significant contribution to simplifying Criminal Laws.

Shri Niket Kaushik, emphasised the importance of Legal Knowledge in Management roles, addressing the societal issue of Corruption and Advocating for E-Governance as a tool for transparency. Adv Priyanka Rane Patil applauded the book's approach to decoding legal intricacies and emphasised the audience's role in raising their voices against crime.

The event also featured an insightful address by Prof Rajasekharan Pillai V N, Vice-Chancellor, Somaiya Vidyavihar University, who highlighted the critical role of education in spreading awareness about Laws in Society. Dr Ramachandran Raman, Director, K J Somaiya Institute of Management, emphasised the interconnection between Legal Knowledge and Effective Governance, particularly stressing its relevance for MBA students and professionals in the business world.

He shared his vision of simplifying legal complexities for individuals without a legal background, showcasing his commitment to demystifying legal concepts and making the law accessible to a broader audience.
