Dr. Jagannath Nirmal  is working since May 2003. Presently he is working as a Professor & Head in the Department of Electronics Engineering. He received his B.E. (Electronics) degree from SGGS Institute of Techology, Nanded Maharashtra State, India in 1998-99 and M.Tech. (Electronics Engg)  degree from VJTI Mumbai, India in 2008. He has completed his PhD. from SV National Institute of Technology Surat, (Gujrat) India, in June 2015. He has published around 35 research papers in national & international Journals & Conferences. His publication includes papers in reputed journals like Applied Soft Computing, Elsevier, Nurocomputing, Elsevier, Neural Computing & Applications, Springer , International Journal of Audio Speech & Music Proocessing Springer, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, International Journal of Speech Technology, Springer.  His area of intrest is Audio, speech, signal processing, image processing, deep learning & machine learning. He has delivered several expert lectures at various institutes and also been a part of various research projects conducted in the department. He was recognized with the Best Research Awards in the academic years 2015-16, 2016-17, and 2017-18 by KJSCE. Additionally, he received the Best HOD Award for the AY 2023-24 from the CSI-Bombay Chapter.
